The Texas Legislature meets every two years to consider new laws. The most recent regular session ran from January 14th to June 2nd, 2025.
At the end of a regular legislative session, hundreds of bills are passed by the House and Senate. They are then sent to the governor for approval. See our post 89th Regular Legislative Session Kicks Off to learn about the Texas legislative process.
Great news! The VitalLaw database is now available to library patrons. The library's subscription focuses on two main subjects:
- Elder and Estates Law
- Section 1983 Litigation
